Re: Nov. 28 Crop & Chat
Sherri and Jill, those are both wonderful Winter pages!
Steph, so sorry your craft sale wasn't that good. I know how disappointing that is. I used to do about 8 shows in the Fall. Some were good and some didn't even make the table money. There's alot of hard work put into getting ready for those.
I'm hoping to work on my page shortly. I know what I'm going to do just have to find some time. We're putting up the tree today too.

Re: Nov. 28 Crop & Chat
Yes Deanna, that is what happened yestrday, I only made back half of my table rental...and I sent it again on lunch and some raffle tickets! But, they were awesome raffle baskets and I couldn't resist! Each class at the school put together a themed basket and there was ALOT of stuff in them...some were full of crafty stuff, some were puzzles and games there was a movie night one, a coffee one and a tea one, a dog/cat one, a sports one, and one was a little Christmas tree with about twenty gift cards hanging all over it! The raffle was kind of problem though, because my mom and I noticed that a lot of people were coming ONLY for the raffle, they would race right by all the tables, drop their tickets in the buckets and race right back out without looking at a single thing! And I think that the PAC could have done things a lot better...for instance tey ould have charged us less for the tables (their ad advertised ONLY $25...but that is actually the highest I have paid) and charged more for the raffle tickets. They were charging 50cents each and with those huge baskets they could have easily gone with $2 each and 3 for $5. or something like that and people still would have paid it! AND, they should have gtten some of the parents to make pots of soup, sandwiches, snacks, and sold those for lunch, and had the profits from that as well, but instead they rented a table to some cafe who was charging alost $7 for the most horrible sandwich I have had in a long time! LOL! I can't wait til the day Austin is in school and I can help out with things like that.
Anyways, sorry to ramble on. Jill, you're page is beautiful, I love that background paper, what is that??
We are going out for a bit to get some photos printed! Then I think I might make some cookies, get some supper going, and then tonight I plan on scrappin the night away!! Real scrappin, no craft sale stuff!!!

Thanks Steph...sounds like you have some major good ideas for these craft sale places, they sure could use a person like you to do it up right. The paper is K & Co, very vintage looking paper pad, I think I see some in your future....

Re: Nov. 28 Crop & Chat
Great page Jill!!
I've been doing crafty things this morning.... but not scrappy things.... doing some paper trees for the room number signs at work, then some "oranments" for our loving tree.... and got one project done that I started two weeks ago... that was cool.... now the kids are making me nuts! They will not just go play today..... don't know what it is. I'm about to send them out in the snow again!

Jill, your page is beautiful!! Love the papers and the colors!
Michelle C, I would like some of your energy too! I plan to scrap a little this afternoon but the girls will be home soon so I will be quitting early. I have missed them so much!! We will be starting our decorating tomorrow but we've decided to wait a week or so for the tree. I don't want to rush since I know the kitty will be UNdecorating it every chance he gets.
Gonna go work on a LO...I'll be back!

Re: Nov. 28 Crop & Chat
Great layouts Jill and Deanna. I just finished mine.
Back then we had so much land to ride on we had a winter sled party at our house.
The top paragraph says "Cold and snow doesn't keep us Minnesotans indoors, it just makes us want to get and play."
I love my brother and his wife's sleds, he had their names put on them when he ordered them Ray Jr. and Ronda.

Jill, Deanna and Linda - I really love your winter pages - I kind of like winter - love the snow, but not the extreme cold and icy roads - good job girls!!!
We are having a bit of snow right now - East of here about an hour they already have 4 inches of snow - that is what the lady at the tree farm told us today when we cut down our Christmas tree - I am finishing up my winter page as we speak have a great night all!!! michelle m

Re: Nov. 28 Crop & Chat
Ok, here is my take on the challenge:
It is titled: The Tree - Perfect - Perfect Hubby - journaling reads: The perfect tree & husband!! 11.07
I used Basic Grey - Periphery and Pink Paislee Office Lingo paper and Basic Grey alpha letters - CM black pen
One of our traditions at Christmas time - getting the annual Christmas tree - which we did today!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!!! It is snowing a little right now - take care, michelle m

Re: Nov. 28 Crop & Chat
Woohoo! You all came through with wonderful pages! We don't get snow but I love snow pages. Not much excitement in my rainy day photos. Maybe that would be a good challenge for ME. To find the joy in a rainy day.
