6/27 Crop & Chat

I am posting this a little early as I am up to my elbows in bleach cleaning my house and just took a break to have some lunch. Anybody want a cat?????? I am sanitizing Austin's entire room after a little "accident" the cat had in there last night This kid has way too much stuff!!

Anyways, your challenge for this weekend is an easy peasy one, I want to see a card with a summer theme...can be a summer holiday like 4th of July, or maybe a Bon Voyage card for someone going on holiday, or it can just be any theme with a summer look to it...say some surfboards or starfish?? Well I finally got it all cleaned! Got the rest of my house tidied up too, my mom is coming to watch Austin for me this evening and I wanted her to at least have a place to sit, lol!! Still have a bit of laundry to deal with and get all the toys put away out of the kitchen, then have to start getting ready and find something quick and easy for supper. I was planning on taking it easy today, lol!

Oh, pet problems are no fun at all! Sorry Steph. But your house will smell bleachy clean, that's for sure!

Thanks ladies, I am looking forward to getting out tonight, should be fun! I just spent an hour or so straightening my hair, what a pain in the butt...and how much ya wanna bet I have it pulled up by the time I leave the house, lol!! Gonna try and relax for a while, check out the crops and jot down challenges while I wait for my mom to get here so I can get dressed!

NOT a date! LOL!I am volunteering next month at the Folk Festival here in town. My friend is the volunteer coordinator for the whole festival and I am coordinator for the kids craft table that we do. Tonight is just a meet and greet night for all of the adult volunteers, at one of the local pubs, with a band from the festival playing for us. We are not sure how many people are actually going to show up, but we are planning to have a good time regardless, lol!! I won't be out late, my mom has to drive home, but it will be nice even for a couple hours

I was out hanging garage sale signs by 6 this morning and we pretty much worked all day... just got home a bit ago (we had the sale at my sister's house... she had most of the stuff and she's in town).....

WHEW....


I'm pooped though.

I got home about half an hour ago...I have a splitting sinus headache! Ugh!! I had a good time though, was nice to have some adult conversation, lol!! I got home, checked my email, and discovered a message on Facebook that I have been waiting on from an old friend...a message full of surprises that I will be tossing and turning over all night I am sure!

Going to get to bed early and hope this headache will be gone by morning so I can get some scrappin done tomorrow!!

Steph, I have been cleaning my house today because of my pets!! I was so mad tonight because I stripped my bed and was planning to but new sheets on. I just layed them on the bed but decided to get dressed and leave the house. I come home and one of the cats decided to pee on them!! They have a clean litter box just waiting for them. This has been a problem since I got the puppy. I am now washing all my sheets and comforter before I can make my bed. I am going to have to resort to closing my bedroom door again!!

I am hoping to get some scrapping done this weekend! I do have some yardwork, errands and stuff to do Saturday. I hope I can get enough sleep tonight to get these things done to work on some scrappy projects! I also have photography homework. I just love that kind of homework!!!

Just got up today and it is going to be a hot one...in the 80's here, the kiddos will want to go in the pool....we just got one of those quickset types, so What is everyone up to today???? I will be spending my day outside I guess, getting nothing done, except watching them have fun!!!

Here's my card that I finished last night. I went with a July 4 theme. I think I'll send it to my nephews with a dollar for each. The white stars are actually stamping. One smudged, so I decided to smudge them all, making them look like shooting stars.

Tammy, it looks fabulous! I love the "shooting stars"! It's raining so I should get alot done around here. I finished by Round 5 entry. Now, I just have the June Contest to complete. I've scrubbed the kitchen floor and now I'm going to grab some breakfast.

Thanks Trish! You've been busy this morning!! It's beautiful here today and I really should get outside and get some things done. But I really need to get the kitchen cleaned this morning. :laundry: I'd really like to get to my scrap room and scrap though. Hmm, wondering which I should do first.

Oh Jana, that just sucks!!! I can smell that my cat peed in Austin's room, bleached the whole room, all the toys, the bed, and I can still smell it. No marks on the carpet that I can find, so I think the source is a little chair that Austin has and sits in to read. I have tried to figure out how to take the cover off to throw it in the wash but I don't think there is a way which really sucks cause it is the best little chair, and my mom got it for him when he was just a tiny baby! Maybe I can put it in the yard and soak it with a bucket of water, lol! I really don't want to have to throw it out!! The cats are not allowed outside in our building, and the places turn into saunas in the heat so we have to have the doors and windows open to cool down...so my cat has to either be in the bathroom or Austin's room, and she only last so long in the bathroom before starting to rip the place apart! Just one of the many reasons we are looking for a new place to live!!


I still have a headache but I am going to try and get some scrappin done anyways! So many great challenges at the crops this weekend I don't know where to start! Maybe a card would be a good place, lol!

We finally got all done with the garage sale... thank goodness!!! Got lots of stuff removed from the houses,...... now time to spend some time with the family... and maybe scrap late or tomorrow... but I'll be in my room before the weekend ends
