Crop and Chat (Jan 23- Jan 26th)~ Winner in main post~

Linda and Nicole - beautiful!!! They are both so unique - love them all!! I started on mine last night - I have the day to work on mine!!! - I will take a photo - the only problem is I do not have a computer at the moment that I can download my photo to - I have a bunch of layouts waiting to be downloaded as well - I believe my computer should be fixed by Wednesday! great job girls!! michelle m

Steph, that is a super WONDERFUL idea to use a sleeve for a photo, especially for a gift!! Gotta steal that idea..........I won't get one done today but what a spectauclar idea!!

Steph, I love your canvas and what a great idea to add a page protector for photos! Nicole, beautiful canvas. Glad to hear that you enjoyed making them. Linda, I'm having a problem seeing all of yours. Only a little bit is downloading, but I love how you have shaded the edges!

Well, I just finished my creations - I paited over a small canvas I already had - it's not super huge - about 6 x 12 - then I applied 2 kinds of pp over - then I stapled ribbons (3) horizontally across - I am going to use it in my scraproom for a place to hold small items, etc. The ribbons will hold the items in place!!! For the other challenge - I did a layout of me and a few girlfriends getting ready to board a greyhound bus for the Cotton Bowl Parade in Texas back in late 1980!!! We went on a marching band trip down to Texas - so I journaled about it and have my actual Greyhound luggage tag and my room captain label I had - since I have so many favorite bands from my childhood, I went with my marching band that I was with for 3 years!! I will have to post pictures in a few days when I get my computer back - I will miss the deadline, but wanted to do the challenges - thanks! michelle m

oh, my laptop is back and working great and is free of any virus!!! - Here is my altered canvas - I forgot to take a photo of my "band" layout - I will do that after I am doing doing hair at the nursing home and post that! I guess it is a little larger than 6 x 12 - lol - more like 12 x 8!!!

Congrats Steph!!!! I am happy with my canvas, but would be happier if I switch the colors of ribbons that I used - too blah and they blend in with the pp - but - it was easy to do, I used an old painted canvas (re-using and being green!!) and used some scrap pp! - michelle m - I still have to post my "band" layout - 1980 - yikes!!!
