Halloween Crop & Chat!
Happy Halloween ladies!!! Are you ready to scrap?? And chat??
I am posting a little early because we have to head out right at 1 o' clock to catch the bus into town!
Here are your challenges for the weekend...
Amy's Color Challenge:
Happy Halloween Ladies lets work with colors for this challenge.
You can choose one of these 2 ways to make your Halloween page.
*alittle white can be used on both pages*
1. Use only Halloween colors: black, orange, purple, green and yellow
OR
2. Make page WITHOUT any halloween colors on your page!( colors listed above)
Here is Amy's example:
Valerie's Fright Night Pick 5 Challenge:
I hope you can join us for Bingo on Friday night, but even if you can't, I've got a challenge that will let you use the Bingo words in a different way. Your challenge is to create a layout using at least 5 of the 100 Bingo words posted HERE. The words can be part of your title or journaling.
So pull out some Halloween photos and let's see how creative you can be. If you don't have any Halloween photos, don't let that keep you from participating in this challenge. As long as you can use at least 5 of the Bingo words, you can scrap any topic. And don't forget to tell us which 5 words you have used! Have fun, and I can't wait to see all your Fright Night layouts! I'll have a RAK for the winner (selected from a random drawing).
Here is Valerie's example (she used 21 words on hers!)
Steph's Creepy Cauldron Recipe Challenge:
I have been stirring this concoction in my cauldron all morning and it is almost time to eat! Here's the recipe so you can get your own brew going...
Eye of newt (brads)
toe of frog (paint)
Wool of bat (black ribbon)
tongue of dog (chipboard)
Season to taste (glitter)
You can add some of your own favorite ingredients to create yur own creey concoction, but you must use these items! Can't wait to see what you create!
Sketch Challenge:
Wouldn't be a crop without a sketch now, would it? Use the following sketch from PageMaps to create a spooky layout!
Post your layouts here by Midnight PST on Monday to get your name in the draw for the grand prize! Each challenge you complete gets your name in the draw once, so you have four chances to get in the draw!
Here is the grand prize, donated by Jill (Thanks girl!!)
Alright ladies!! Let's see those creepy, spooky, frightening Halloween layouts!!!

Re: Halloween Crop & Chat!
It was so nice to have a little while to scrap tonight before Bingo starts. Here's my example for the "Fright Night Pick 5" Challenge:
You probably can't read the journaling, but here it is. I was able to use 21 of the words from the Bingo list!
A Not So Scary Night
On October 31st, under a full moon, outside a haunted house, you might expect an eerie scene. A witch flies in on her broom stick, covered with warts, wearing her pointed hat, and accompanied by her black cat. She lands right next to a giant cauldron full of evil smelling witches brew. If it doesn’t frighten you too much, you might get close enough to hear her screech, “Hubble, bubble, toil and trouble”, as she adds a large quantity of Eye of Newt to her magic potion.
But that’s not what happened in our back yard on Halloween of 2006. We had the cutest little witch there ever could be. Or is it a Halloween fairy? Either way, you looked so cute in your costume. We were off to “Boo at the Zoo” for our annual tradition.

Re: Halloween Crop & Chat!
We got back from trick or treating and it was such a bummer
In the town we live in there are so many kids and ADLUTS who dont
wear costumes and such that the last 4 years we have been here there
are less and less lights on. We drove all over town and seen about 12-15
light on here. I did ask a couple people who were handing out candy why
noone on their block was doing it and they said with no costumes and the
kids dont say trick or treat or even thank you anymore its just no fun
And its sad cause they all said cause of one ethic group which runs it
for everyone else.
We handed out more candy than we got....lol
So rather than see Spencer sad he didnt get any candy we took him to
Walmart let him pick his own big bag of candy and then went to eat pizza
where he played video games forever....lol
And even worse I only got 10 photos !!!!!!!!!

Re: Halloween Crop & Chat!
We went to different part of town this year than where we usually go...we had been there four years ago with some friends kids and there was lots of kids there and it's a network of streets in a quiet area so it's a really good place to go, and since it as Friday and the busses were running late we thought we'd go there again this year...it was DEAD!!! Even one of the guys who answered the door said they were down almost 100 kids from last year! Guess we'll be going back to our usual place next year! I didn't getmany photos either, I am not even sure the ones I got will turn out since it was so dark, and Austin was moving too fast for the night time setting, it was all blurry. And he just plain didn't want his photo taken for some reason, kept getting pouty everytime he saw the camera come out, lol!
I have a few things to do here this morning, then in about an hour we are going down to my friend's house to work on my course stuff. Austin is excited, when we stopped by there last night he pitched a fit and didn't want to leave...not even to go trick-or-treating and get candy! LOL!!
What is everyone else up to today??

Re: Halloween Crop & Chat!
Did a bunch of home "work" this morning... got one load of clothes washed dried and folded.... second in the dryer, third in the washer..... Went to Wally's to get lunch for tomorrow and grab some 50% deals on Halloween goodies... and got pictures too.... got the dogs kennels cleaned out and their blankets thrown away..... they were NASTY with a big ICK.....now, I just got home.... gonna fold the second load of clothes.... pick up the dining room table that seems to have been taken over by the kindergarten art class.... then go straight to my room and scrap!

Re: Halloween Crop & Chat!
It's been so busy all day. Started out we ran a few errands with Kaylee and then stopped at the park for her to play alittle and get some Fall photos. Then, Mom was released from the hospital at noon and she's staying with us for probably 3 weeks during her out-patient rehab. Got her here and settled then went to pick up her prescriptions and now it's past 3:30. Where does the time go?
I'm really hoping to stay up late tonight and work on some of these! I want to SCRAP!

Ok - here's my take on the sketch challenge... for some reason the colors are off. It looks better in real life.
