**Nov 14 weekend crop**
Hello!!! This is my 1st ever time to host a crop!! Im so excited!
This past Tues was veterans day, and to honor our families vets i have planned a crop which ties into that and family in general. We love and adore our kids, spouses and parents, but often dont think of those rellies we vaugely knew or heard stories of. Id like to take you down memory lane this week! I told you to hunt down pics of people in uniform, but these DO NOT have to use ONLY military themed stuff unless its asked in the challenge! Feel free to use ANY pics!
**CHALLENGE 1:COLOUR CHALLENGE**
for this challenge you must use military type colours such as grey, green, blue, black etc OR use the patriotic colours of red, white and blue. The photo can be a uniformed person or a general photo!not a photo OF a general.. but any regular pic
here i used uniform colours green and brown
and this one i used red white and blue!
**CHALLENGE 2:SCRAP A UNIFORM!**
Create a layout of someone in uniform....and by unifom, you can use scouts,a halloween costume, military, police, school band..ANY uniform!!
heres my uniform examples!
grandfathers track uniform
Grandmother in nurse unnie
my Grampa, the Dept sheriff
and a cousin being decorated in WW2
See!! ANY type of uniform is cool!!
**CHALLENGE 3-SCRAP A RELLIE!**
scrap a reletive.. any family member!! Past or present!! Lets see YOUR family! this can be a fun layout or even a page to honour a rellie!
heres my example!
**CHALLENGE 4: SCRAP A NAME CHALLENGE**
Some families pass down names through the generations, or maybe you have a first name in the family that has special meaning. Im into genealogy and love adding surnames to my family tree. For this challenge, use ANY 1st name, nickname, pet name or last name AS YOUR TITLE!!
Heres my example
**CHALLENGE 5:SCRAP A KID!**
ANY kid will do!! you as a kid, your spouse, your mom, your kid!!
heres my example, i chose to scrap ME!!!
and last but not least...
**CHALLENGE 6:SOMETHING OLD TO SOMETHING NEW CHALLENGE**
For this challenge, look around for something old and alter it into something newer! I took this old bottle...
and made it into a cute peice of decor or a gift perhaps??
i REALLY hope you enjoy the crop! I tried to make challenges for everyone. You have until Tuesday to upload your work!! Ill be on and off checking your work!!
editied: A RAK will be given!! my son will draw a name of all who do at least 1 challenge, and ill send the winner a RAK!!

WOW Terri!!! Those are some really awesome challenges!! I have ideas for a couple of them, I'll have to dig around and see what photos I have...I just remembered my grandma oftens sends some in ackages of other papers and things, and we have quite a few "uniformed" members of our family, so I might have to see if she sent any of those!
Re: **Nov 14 weekend crop**
i really hope these are ok.. not too easy, not too hard.... and not too many!! i cant wait to see what you do!!!

Re: **Nov 14 weekend crop**
gotcha!!! i just helped my 12th grader with a dang NASA report weve been doing and redoing for a month now.. due tommorow! the teacher keeps making more corrections on it and now wants quotes labled and even page numbers of each quote! sorry buddy, but those books went back a long time ago. his report is 16 pages long, so he better not get a bad grade for the missing page numbers. hes in special ed english, so reports are really hard for him. my hubbys gram has surgery at 1 pm tommorow, so prayers appreciated!

Re: **Nov 14 weekend crop**
Jill, hope you don't have to spend the WHOLE night on that turkey!!
Terri, hope your son's teacher is understanding with the grade! And that everything goes well with the surgery tomorrow!
We had to run to town for a while, now we're sitting down having our supper and then I have some things I need to work on. I haven't found any uniform photos yet, but I think I know where I can look! I do have some for some of the other challenges though, I definitely have a few to choose from of myself when I was little!

Re: **Nov 14 weekend crop**
What a bunch of fun challenges!! I've gathered some of my heritage photos. Found a couple of my dad in uniform. Got lots of photos of my sons in scout uniforms. I hope to get some of these done.
Jill and Terri, don't you just love the projects they send home from school! I'm so glad my kids are finally out. But my granddaughters will be doing those things soon enough!! Can't wait.
Tyeler is having a sleepover tomorrow night. It's going to be a scrapbooking/craft/birthday party. I think it's going to be a lot of fun. We'll see how it goes with ten 7 and 8 year old girls. I expect to be up really late tomorrow night and up really early Sat morning. After all her friends go home on Sat we have to go up to our other granddaughters birthday/skating party. It's a little over an hour away. I'm pretty sure by Sunday I will be loving my day of rest!! It's going to be a busy weekend but I plan to fit some of these challenges into my schedule.

Re: **Nov 14 weekend crop**
oh my Berta! You are going to be exhausted by Sunday!! Hope the girls have a great time at the party, sounds like lots of fun!!
Tuesday is fine...just keep in mind that the big Fall Crop starts on Monday, so you might want to try and get them done before then, as you can't combine the challenges frrom both.
No luck finding the photos I was hoping to find...I need to look harder I think! LOL! I did find some old photos of someone that my grandma sent me, but they are just printed on plain old printer paper Need to work on some cards tonight anyways, I will look again for the photos tomorrow!

I agree!!! The only time anyone ever calls me Shelly is when I see long lost relatives!!!
Question for you girls - I am a newbie here - I was just playing around downloading an old layout to the gallery - and I wasn't sure what "album" to put it in - so I put it in the Nov. - things with wings - I know that's the wrong album, but not sure where to put it - I understand that I can the photo of my layout to my post - am I missing anything else? - Terri gave me some advise earlier - thanks Terri! michelle
