Oh Julie, your layout is just lovely! I love the vintage feel you've given to it. I am not very good at doing vintage! I love the cutwork, the photo is amazing. It is really beautiful! Congrats!

Re: Round Three: Talent
Aww, gee, Steph, I was so hoping that when you saw my post about the prizes you'd surprise us by telling us one of those listed was the actual prize! LOL, LOL! I don't blame you for thinking as you did - snagging the prize and getting out of town with it! LOL
It's important that we remember that we're doing this to have fun otherwise, it would make us bonkers!

But oh wouldn't that be nice? LOL!!

Re: Round Three: Talent
Awesome page, Julie! I love vintage and wish that I had more patience for fanicier cutwork. I, at least, got most of the materials together with the photo that I plan to use for this challenge. I can't concentrate with so many people during the afternoon doing different things. I had the opportunity to just relax and start work but it wasn't easy. I am going to work tonight.

Re: Round Three: Talent
Fantastic layouts ladies! I totally agree with your talents!
My favorite thing to do on layouts these days is to stitch --- so I combined that with my love of layering and matching multiple manufacturers on every layout. This is what I came up with:
My Journaling reads:
1. Stop & smell the flowers.
2. Nap often.
3. If it feels good, go for it.
4. Forgive & forget.
5. Love unconditionally.
6. Be happy & share the joy.
7. Play every day.
8. Be persistent.
9. Scratch the itch.
10. Make people smile.

Janelle,
All that stressing for nothing - this page is ADORABLE! You did a great job! I love your photos and how you've grouped them as well as all the special touches you added. I love the monochromatic look, too! Girl, you underestimate yourself! It's fantastic!

Re: Round Three: Talent
I love everyone's pages! Awesome work was done on this challenge.
I was so dead tired last night that I fell asleep and didn't post my LO. I will be posting it and playing along during this fun contest. The last of my sister's things were released from her locked garage yesterday and finally everything (but the kitchen sink) is here so thus ends THAT portion of my insanity! Hoorah for me!!

Re: Round Three: Talent
Thanks Ladies
Here is a little tutorial on how to make the flowers:
Step 1:
Cut out 3 circles, 1 large, 1 medium and one small.
Step 2:
Make 4 cuts on the circle as shown on my circle with the pencil lines.
Step 3:
Make 4 more cuts and shown below.
Your circle should now look like this.
Step 4:
Cut a small triangle out between each of the cuts. Don't worry if the triangles or cuts or uneven. When you start layering everything you won't be able to notice.
Step 5:
Ink the edges of your circle/flower shape.
Step 6:
Do the same to the other 2 circles.
Step 7:
Layer the flower shapes on top of eachother and stick down with glue dots or 3D pads.
Step 8:
Add a button to the centre to finish the flower.
Thanks for looking, if you give it a go I would love to see your finished flowers.
