It is time for the talent portion of the pageant...not that you haven't all been showing us your talents already! I took this challenge straight from last year's contest, mostly cause I am exhausted and couldn't think of anything new, but also cause cause I just think it's a good one, lol! So, here it is...

Your challenge is to choose two techniques that you feel you are most talented at (or that are your favorite) and really showcase them on your layout. Your layouts can be any theme, and products, anything you like, but we want to see those techniques really showcased! (Use close-up photos of your technique if you have to but they should really stand out!)

Can't wait to see your creations!!

I'm tired too...can I use LAST YEARS entry? rofl

Not sure how 'talented' I am with them but I have a couple techniques that I really enjoy doing. It's been a long day. So my brain's a little too numb to think about this now. Gonna go to bed and sleep on it.. Maybe something will come to me during the night...that happens occasionally...LOL!

I know you all are already in bed by now and it's already Friday so good night!!

Now wouldn't that be nice...but no! LOL! You sound like me, I had a long day too, and then I could not sleep, so I went to bed just after midnight and have been up since 4am! My brain won't stop, I had not only a long day, but a very confusing one, and I don't think I have fully "digested" what's happening. I will be very surprised if I make it through today without a nap, lol!

Yikes! I have absolutely no idea! I take pretty good photos, but that's the only area I think I do really well! LOL I'll have to do some thinking. I think it's so much easier for others to recognize the talents we have that for us to identify our own talents - at least it's so with me. I'm too self critical.

I am going to do a technique I hope I am good at because I use it alot and one that I really love on other people's pages. I am super tired and know that I will be for at least the next week. I am going to get this one going before the last minute like I did with the 2nd challenge.

My 2 favorite techniques are doodling and distressing. I love to tear and distress all my edges and I doodle all my stitching since it's faster than getting out my sewing machine.

Berta,

There is so much love that goes into your layouts and it shows! That is an absolutely beautiful LO! I love, love, love the arrangement and the details. I think it is wonderful!

As I said before, it's so much easier to see the fantastic talents in other people's layouts before you see it in your own. At least, that is how it is with me.

I love to sew on my layouts and I really love layering and mixing PPs. I think it creates an element of surprise when you add something unexpected! In this LO, there are tons and tons of layers as well as stitching. I provided a closeup of my cluster of embellishments, also. I guess, I also love to cluster now that I think of it, LOL.

Thank you so much, Berta, for liking my LO. I'm always surprised when I finish a LO because I never really know how it is going to end up! Is everyone like that? I surprise myself! LOL

I made the bear. That silly little thing took me sooooooooooo long! I find that it is a challenge to make them. I'm not that good yet. I keep working at it, though. I have a couple more on LOs on my blog if you want to see more silly little bears, LOL.

Thanks sooo much for the warm fuzzy!

Janelle,

Just have fun! Don't look at it as a competition as it just puts pressure on you. Try to think of it as a crop challenge (less pressure). You know what do when you make a LO you really like, right? There is something that makes you sit back and say, "Aha - that looks cool!" Find that something and apply it to a design. You CAN DO IT, Janelle! Find some pretty paper and go with it! HAVE FUN!

I love your Girl Next Door LO - I love the way you used the photo to pull nature into your LO. Now, go, girl!

XOXOXO

Yeah, you will definitely not find any of those in the prize packages, lol! If there was, I think I'd have to keep it for myself and disappear, lol!!
