Well...it looks like Linda and I had the same idea. So...I'll give you extra options in mine.

Like Linda said...you may not have photos of a New Year's event...if you do...GREAT...scrap them!! If you don't...scrap about something NEW... I love the New Year...it is so easy to put the past behind you and start fresh. And isn't that the cool thing about something new...Anyway...I scrapped about my new son...Sample below.

Oh...but I have a twist...I know...I normally don't twist things up...but since this is a duplicate...I'm twisting it up. I want you to paint on your layout...check out the backgrounds in my titles!

So...go grab your paint and create a layout about New Year's!

Painting... Well I don't think I've done much of that if any on a layout. This could be a challenge all by itself. I have it printed out.

Great example Janet.

Cool challenge and example, Janet. Thank you for the paint twist. I have a hard time using paint.

The 'new' part will be easy. Now I just have to see if I have any paint that will work. It's been so long since I've opened any of mine up. Not sure they're not all dried up by now...LOL!! Great twist Janet!!

I don't tend to paint on my LOs either. I use my paint for bare chipboard alpha mostly. I love challenges that force me to do things that I wouldn't normally have done.

Here's what I did. I experimented with mixing white paint and red stickes. It looks really pretty IRL. But it doesn't show up well in this scan.

I used my New Years photos this last summer so I didn't have one to use. My page is on my oldest granddaughter's new tatoo.

I can't wait to see what you do, Linda. I am the sloppiest person with paint and only do well painting chipboard alpha or what-not. I have found that the more that you work on a new technique, the more skill you aquire. I was as bad with stamping as I am painting but am 100% better than when I started. There is no reason to create boundaries or limits on your scrapping fun. Life is all about growth!
