Linda's New Years Day challenge

Okay I know this can be a hard one because not everyone has get-togethers and gatherings for New Years Day... So I changed it up and this is what I want to see from you...
Using the word "New", I want you to do a layout about something "new". A new home or car, a new pair of shoes, a new pet, a new flower, the beginning of a new year at school. You got the idea the list can go on and on.... And you have to use the word "new" in your layout, and "add the year" the picture or event took place.
Entries will be put in a drawing for a RAK from me.

Entries are to be newly created for this challenge. There is no combining of crop challenges. All entries must be linked to this thread by midnight PST on Monday, November 16th.

I finished this one late last night. Can I count it?
This dealership always takes photos of new car buyers and mounts them on a calendar. This one still has a month to go but Josh moved out and left the calandar behind. I say that makes the photo fair game. LOL! Couldn't wait to scrap it. This is his 4th car in 12 years. 3 out of 4 have been red. I'm thinking this must be his favorite color.
