Weekend Crop & Chat 8/28-8/31*Updated Winners*

Hey...welcome to the weekend crop and chat, hope you are as happy as I am that it is finally Friday!! It is the last weekend of August and with that, it signals the end of Summer here and the start of back to school. So if you are like me you may have tons of summer pictures left to scrap, from this year or years past. All that is required is to use a summer picture and the colors Blue and Green as that is the beautiful colors in the paper pack I am offering up for the this weekend's RAK! I am offering up some Little Yellow Bicycle " Vita Bella papers"- 12 beautiful double sided papers and matching epoxy stickers. Hope you will come out and play this weekend. Here is my sample below using a different line of LYB with blues and greens.

Thanks Deanna, now I don't have to take a picture! Anybody have any weekend plans??? Me I have all ready started the laundry and plan to go to an open house for gymnastics, to get Jessica re-signed up for another year...I think they are going to have games and stuff for the kids while they try and drum up students for the new year!

Oooo, I love Little Yellow Bicycle. Especially the line on your LO. I'm planning to shampoo my livingroom carpet tomorrow and do a load of laundry and scrap while I wait for the carpet to dry... I've got all my yard work caught up and now I'm ready for some 'me' time. So this is going to be a scrappy weekend for the most part. I've got several challenges to get done. So I'm off to work on some!! Great challenge, Jill. I love working with blues and greens.

I jumped right on this because I have Kaylee and Brady the rest of the weekend and she cheers at a Pee Wee Football game on Sunday so may not find any other scrappy time!

Jill & Deanna-I love what you did with the pp. Awesome job! Thank you, Deanna for the link. Very cool challenge and it fits for this very "cool" weekend. It has been in the 60s for 2 days and in the mid 50s at night. It won't be sunny again until next week. I am so sick of the rain!

Berta, your page popped up when I had finished posting. We must have posted at almost the same time. I love all the pp and how well they go together. I like the layout of your page as well and I will add it to my favorites. Awesome job!

Karen, I wish it would cool down a bit here. It's still been SO hot and humid! ugh! Had a few sprinkles yesterday but nothing to cool us down!

It's work day today.... I hope that tomorrow will be play.... we have a football game, but it's not till 3, so have a little time (plus, it won't be more than an hour)....So, it all depends on how fast I can work today to see if I can play. But I certainly have the pictures

Love the pages girls! Great challenge Jill. It's cold in Minnesota this morning....gonna get the kids ready this morning and then gonna try and get some scrapbooking in today. I bought a new cartridge for my Cricut I am dying to use. Hope everyone has a great day.

We finally have RAIN!!! We haven't had any for weeks and it has cooled things off too! Deanna...love those trampoline shots.. love seeing the kids so happy and having fun. Berta love your beautiful butterfly and paper line...I just love crate paper and haven't played with any in a long time, and that line looks fun! Glad you were able to jump on this challenge right away, I am off to do more laundry and other chores...UGH! Have a fun day ladies, hope to get back again some time later here!

Got the laundry done and my carpet shampooed. I'm ready for a nice quiet, scrappy afternoon/evening. DH is cooking dinner and told me to relax the rest of the day...who am I to argue with that...LOL!! It's HOT here today but the next week is supposed to get cooler. Rain would be good here. CA is still in a drought and Southern CA is still in flames. I've got some DT challenges to work on right now. Off to scrap...have a great day you all!!

We went to the gymnastics open house today, Jessica had fun playing, then spun the prize wheel and got a free necklace...she moved up to junior gymnast so will now go for 90 minutes instead of the hour and learn more advanced stuff. I hope she has a great year ahead! Hope some more of you ladies find time to play this weekend, Hope to get some scrappy time myself tonight!

I took Thursday & Friday off from scrapping to re-load my mojo. I worked on 2 challenges for a crop today that was extended until Monday (whew!) I am going to work on this challenge next.

WOW Jill. They have practice that long? I can't wait until Haley is old enough for gymnastics I think she will really like it. She had done a 3 week program over the summer through our Community Ed program and she LOVED it. Does Jessica also do Just for Kix? Haley starts that on September 14th. Only one practice a week for about 30 minutes. Sounds like you will have another busy school year...

OMG! I love the layout you posted Jill and the challenge... I am gonna take time to do it cause I need some free time. I have tons of transcription to do but will get this layout done first.

Yesterday, was busy... My sister and I, along with my daughter, Sherri, went to Brainerd to hunt for our baby sisters grave site. After much time and help from the cemetary attendant we found it. We had feelings of both joy and sadness to have found our little sister we have never known yet held strong in our hearts.

Sounds like everyone is busy with chores. Have a great Sunday... will be back later.

Scrapbooking is such a fun hobby, and I am happy and blessed by knowing such wonderful people here and else where...so the next challenge is to take one of those fun raks you got, tell us what you used and thank them...that simple!!!
Got this Rak from Val yesterday..scalloped paper, pp, ribbon, paper frame (behind mounted picture) and journal card...thanks a bunch Val!!

Great challenges Jill!! I'm at my mom's this weekend...the one time I don't bring my cart with everything in it, I am here all alone with nothing to do! My mom is working at a horse show all day yesterday and today, Brian and Austin came out for the day to swim and hang out yesterday but then went back to town on the bus last night, so I am just hanging out here by myself. So, I won't be working on the first challenge, BUT I just happened to bring one little project with me that fits perfectly in the second challenge, so I might go and get set up somewhere and get to work on that for a while. Soon as I figure out how to work the stereo and drown out the music coming from next door...he is working on his house and is not used to anyone being home here for it to bother I think, lol.

I was able to get this one done today...kids are napping (finally)!

Tammy love your page, that looks like such fun, we can't do that anywhere around here...just no open space to ride...thanks for playing and chatting too! By the way what is Kix??? Is that some sort of kick-line?? I still need to sign Jess up for dance this year, running late but should be able to get to it before it starts!
OMG...Steph what a bummer to have tons of free time for once and not have your stuff, doesn't mom have any grren and blue fabric you could throw on a page etc...or how about some cardboard and blue paint...got to get creative when you can... Off to watch the kids in the pool, be back later...glad to see some of you girls getting a chance to scrap again!
