March 27-March 30 crop/chat - this is the thread with new info :)

Hello ladies - I just wanted to give you a little heads up on this weekends crop/chat event - I have picked a sketch from Becky Fleck - this is one of her March 2009 sketches - straight from her website - thank you Becky! - You can make this any way you want, any size - have fun - looking forward to seeing all your creations!

I just added a little requirement, and it's not really a requirement; if you participated in the embellishment trade and if you have already received some goodies, then use some of the goodies on your layout - not required - I used a butterfly that was in my collection of fun, fun embellies from Willow!!!

I have a nice 8 x 8 album and paperset from MM for a random winner that I will pick from a hat at 10pm Central time on Monday, March 20th - enjoy the weekend crop girls!

great minds think alike!!!!! I wanted to go with a new sketch of hers!!! I added a pretty butterfly that I received in my embellishment fun goodies from Willow in our embellies swap trade - I thought it would be perfect in this layout - thank you Willow!!! Here is my example:

I am getting ready to head for our crop night at the local Ben Franklin crafts store. So will take the sketch with me and work on and my new embellies.

I didn't participate in the swap but I got some cute things in a RAK...can that count? Love the sketch!! I haven't scrapped in a few days and really really really want to this weekend while the girls are gone. I got some new Sassafrass Lass that I'm dying to use!

I am about to do a digi but I will add some wonderful embellies to the paper LO I do later

crazy day.......took miss madie to the doctor poor thing has our virus and the beginnings of an ear infection.....so got meds for that since it is Friday and she felt it would hit its peak during the weekend.........so brought her home to dh and 2yo that are sick and took 5yo to school........then to get the prescription and waited for 45 min since they had to find out my insurance info that I didn't have.........then came home then had to get the boys from school(early out) now I am home......I am not feeling well but about a day or two behind my dh and dd.......yuck........

oh well, need to scrap a bit

VERY classy sketch! Ive been on a pper roll lately, so im gonna do this now! Ive been watching Adam 12 & hogans heros on the puter, and Linda and i have been watching Emergency to droll over Johnny. I love classic shows it makes the pages go fast!

I'm home and getting ready for bed. I got the sketch challenge done for today. I did the monthly contest one and working and almost done with another layout and have lots planned for tomorrow.

It is so much fun... Haven't done this in a long time.

Michelle, the gal that took over Ben Franklin made it into a bigger craft store. She is getting more and more scrapbooking items in. Her new paper she just got in is some laundry line, and MME and some others I haven't paid much attention to yet and she now sells cricut and cuttlebug items. So she is really expanding. In fact, they had a birthday party for the little kids in another part of the store. They were making crafty things.

There were 17 gals there today and will be tomorrow too. We had our choice of rasberry or turtle cheesecake tonight. I took the turtle cheesecake... yummy... Not getting as much scrapping done as I would like, I keep talking to the lady sitting next to me.

Well better get to bed, I want to be out of the house and in the store by 8 tomorrow morning, don't want to miss the continental breakfast. Be back sometime tomorrow.

Great layout Brenda!!! Just letting you know thinking about you Deanna and hope everything is ok with your DD and that you are holding that beautiful grandbaby! Sorry to hear your family is sick Martha, seems like we are doing ok for now again, but the change of season usually gets us bad too! Linda so glad you and your daughters are having great time at the crop...wish I had family that scrapped...I sure would have no problem sharing my stash...the monthly bill is starting to lay me low here...so don't know what I will be able to do this weekend. Headaches the works going on here...hope it goes quick. Hope you girls all have a great day, in what ever it is you decide to do!

Hi all - we are having a nice, laid back Saturday here - my dh had to go into work today - he will be home in a bit - my little one is still in her pj's - I just took a shower - we are going to head up north a bit to check on our camper and bring somethings up - getting excited for nicer weather and camping time - I cleaned up my scraproom today - washed some clothes and cleaned the house - Terri - nice to see you - Jill, hope you feel better soon - Martha - hope you all are feeling better - Linda - sounds like you all are having a great time - those desserts some way too good - can't wait to see your creations!!! Got a LO done for the week-end crop and chat challenge....had to go get my daughter for lunch and then take her for some grocery shopping as she didn't want to drive in the slush and snow....we've been getting rain most of the morning and by about 12:30 it began snowing and snowing the biggest snow flakes I've seen in a long time....in a matter of about 2 minutes the dogs stepped outside to do their duty and were completely covered in snow....by the looks of the radar we should be in this for a while...I just hope we don't get as much as western kansas, but.....

I just feel sorry for a couple of the schools today....tonight is their Junior/Senior Prom....those poor girls and their hair and strapless dresses....brrr.....!!!!!



Our snow fall....you can't see the snow actually falling and how much we've had, since 12:30....about 1 1/2 inches so far....

I used that wonderful sketch during the crop and then I used it previously but it's o.k. It's a GREAT one to use again! Hope to find some scrappy time with the grandkids around here though!

i got one done! I used RAK items as thats about all i have now. Just about all my stuff is things others have given to me, so i fit the requirements the lettering i got recently and had enough letters to spell IRISH TWINS, as i cut the lowercase Js into Is There are never enough vowels in letter sets! i had never heard the term " irish twins" until one day when i was wheeling my 2 toddlers around an older lady asked if they were twins.. i said no, they are 14 mons apart and she said " AHH Irish twins"
