Good afternoon ladies!! Are you ready to crop the weekend away??

I am just finishing up a project that I need to take the LSS this evening, then after work my mom is taking us out there. And, I am getting a case for my Big Bite and the Quickutz Squeeze tool (they have an AWESOME deal going on right now!!). And I am going to admit, I am a virgin die-cutter, this will be my first ever die-cutting tool! :oops: :lol:

Alright, I know, you are waiting for me to stop babbling and get on with business, lol! (Don't mind me I was up early and had some coffee, lmao!!!) So, this weekends challenges IS....

To create a layout about a father, grandfather, any father figure in your life...in honor of Father's Day this Sunday!

Thanks ladies! I was going to get it next week since we have a little extra money coming in this month, but then I mentioned it to my mom and she said she would get it...also next week. Then I was planning on taking this project out to the LSS today, but ran out of adhesive last night, so while chatting online with my mom I told her I would have to take it out there on Sat instead cause I wouldn't have time to get adhesive, get home, finish it, and then get to the LSS on the bus...so she offered to take me after work today and pick those things up while we are there, lol :D :lol: Oh! The deal is that it is only $29.99 with an alpha set! Quickutz is doing the deal, and she doesn't know when it is going to run until so we want to get it asap!

Steph that sounds like a great deal! I don't have one of those but sounds like you'll have fun with that!! I just finished up my layout for the telephone tag. Now Im going to take a little break and hopefully get another page or two done tonight. Im going to have to go to my parents house and see if a can get a couple pictures of my dad from their photo albums since I lost all the pictures I had of him from my computer crash. Other than that, I think it's going to be a pretty quiet weekend around here.

I'm getting ready to sign out for the evening. We're going to a community theatre to see our niece perform. I can't wait to see her. It's a comedy, so hopefully the humor will help with the heat. It's pretty hot here today!

Have fun scrapping. I probably won't get to complete the challenge, since I have some other projects that I need to complete this weekend .

She sold the last one this afternoon :cry: :cry: :cry: She oes have ten more ordered though, so soon as they come in I will have one, lol. Bummer! I was hoping to play with that tonight!! Oh well, I got my case, and some new blades and a couple other things I had put aside last time I was there.

Now I guess I will search for a photo of my dad and get to work on that!!

I finished my telephone scrapping page today
and worked on sewing all day. No more scrapping tonight most likely. I am tired aND Andrew is working until 9pm again. I am hoping to get to Hobby Lobby tomorrow to get more crop prizes.
I had an excellent evening yesterday and got a brand new haircut and a pedi! For the first time in over 13 months now. I am so happy.
Got like 6 or 8" cut off my hair.

We found a turtle this time and now were trying to think
of a name...lol
I did get photos and trying to print them now for a page.

Wow a page about Dad wont be happening here....he was more
worried about his new wife and her boy when I was young than me
so I only seen him about 10 times before the age of 16.....lol
after the childsupport didnt have to be paid I seen him alot
But he was saying some things I didnt like about my kids and that
is a BIG NONO with me so we havent spoke in about 8 years.
Fine with me cause my kids are everything !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will try and find a photo of Grandpa which is who was like my Dad
but he passed about 10 years ago so photos are not easy to come by.

It doesn't have to be YOUR father...just A father figure in your life...if you have no photos of your own dad you could do your kids with their dad or whatever! Just has to have a general "father" theme to it! :D

Ok...just finished a grandfather layout on Wednesday...I suppose that doesn't count! LOL!!! Go figure!

I finally got my Father's Day card done! Woohoo!! LOL! Now that my dad has gone back to camp and won't be home again for another 3 weeks, lol! I kept asking my mom when he was going back so I could have it done before he left and she didn't know, until she was here the night before and mentioned he was leaving in the morning! Oh well, lol!

Going to call it a night and get some sleep! Hope everyone had a great night!

Oh my goodness... I missed out on a lot of good chatting last night!! We had a little sleepover last night.... my sister brought the boys over and we scrapped a little bit... but I lost my gumption after 1 1/2 pages.... Mostly, I think I got tired.

Anyways, I do have a page I have in mind... this is a fun challenge!

I was working on a couple LOs last night and totally forgot I was supposed to check in here. I just did a grandpa LO last week, too. But I still think I'll work on one for my FIL. He's been as much of a dad to me as my own dad (who passed away 20 years ago). He's Brad's step-dad but you would never know that. I really love that man!!
My fridge died yesterday so I spent the whole day cleaning it out and waiting for the repairman. He was able to resurrect it for the time being. It will need a new heater coil which will be here the first of the week. I hate it when appliances go out!!!
My grandaughters are going to their mom's tomorrow and we'll just have them every other weekend for the summer. So I'm going to enjoy my time with them today and work on my LO tonight.
